Refund Policy

Part of the Dovetail Studio Policies and aligned with our studio rules and policies and dance rules and regulations, the following applies to all students:

1- Registration Classes

Refunds for the full amount are granted if cancellation occurs two weeks before the commencement of the class session. No refunds will be granted once the session begins. Transfers to another class or pro-rated class credit may be permitted before registration closes (generally 5 weeks into the session) based upon staff discretion. Any credit given is only available for 6 months. Passes are also only available for 6 months – there are no extensions.

2- Class Packages

If you sign up and know that you cannot attend, please cancel at least one hour before class time to avoid a pass charge.

3- Class Etiquette

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class. This allows you time to change and get settled. For those enrolled in the youth division, tardiness will result in not being able to participate, and the student will need to observe the class instead. Dancers should treat their teachers and classmates with kindness and respect. Only water is allowed into the studios. Children will have a supervised water break and are asked not to bring water bottles into the classroom.

4- Dress Code

Our dress code is designed to ensure each student’s comfort, safety, and uniformity so that their teacher can give proper guidance. Pre-Ballet and Youth Ballet dancers must purchase leotards from the Dovetail front desk or the studio online store.

No street shoes allowed in the studios. For fitness and hip-hop classes, please bring a clean pair of shoes to wear for class. Please help us keep our floors clean for all dancers.

5- Attendance Policies

Attendance is very important for dancers at every age and ability level. Poor attendance will prevent students from improving and progressing through the program.

6- Make-Up Classes

To schedule a make-up class, call the front desk at 872-208-6169 or email dovetailstudios@gmail.com.

All make-up classes must be completed:

  • Before Thanksgiving Break (fall session)
  • Before Spring Break (winter session) for children’s programs

For adult programs, make-ups must be completed before the session ends.

7- Dancer Safety

Dancers must wait inside for all rides and pick-up.

  • Students attending multiple classes in one day should remain in the studio, not wander unsupervised.
  • Dancers aged 13+ may sign a waiver to walk across the street with parent permission (e.g., for snacks at 7/11).
